In
short, we specialise in implementing 3 areas of procurement: |
|
Global
Sourcing |
Where
we create a complete supply chain for the client, enabling their
business to benefit from the improved margins and profitability
available globally.
|
Projects
typically cover:
• Supplier
sourcing to client brief and specification, product sampling.
• Physical vendor auditing in country of short listed suppliers,
both for production, Quality,
and capability assurance.
• ISO9000, ISO 14000, and WTO Social and ethical standards.
• Creation/development of logistics solutions.
• Stock management & MI Reporting models. |
| General
and Local Procurement |
|
Where
we provide strategic cost reduction to client spend areas, and deliver
a supplier base whose goals are aligned with those of the client. |
Projects
typically include:
• Collation
and evaluation of spend data.
• Creation and execution of tenders.
• Supplier Relationship Management.
• Establishment of supplier reporting. |
| Sales
Support via Procurement |
|
Where
we fully integrate the benefits and “USP’s” delivered
from the procurement project activity or in house purchasing team,
with the company’s sales effort.
Projects
typically include:
• Identification
of key procurement benefits.
• Understanding the client’s sales proposition.
• Liaison with both sales and marketing teams.
• Facilitating the integrated project. |
| Whilst
we believe that reports are a vital part of planning and agreeing
the project definitions and scope. They are just that, a means to
an end. What sets us apart as a business, is that we actually implement.
We do the job. |
| Our
rationale is simple:
1. If the client has
asked us to look at a project, this is usually because they don’t
have the time, skills, or people to do it alone – So why would
presenting a “how to” report solve their need?
2. The client is paying
us for the project – therefore commercially, what is the return
on their investment? This can only be measured by actually doing
the work to complete the project brief agreed.
3. As
an industry, we suffer from the old adages such as “Ask a
consultant the time, and he will borrow your watch, tell you the
time, and then sell you a better watch”!
|
|
| We
seek to be different, as procurement practioners it is incumbent upon
us to work ethically, and professionally to enhance the image of our
industry. And after all we are in business too, facing the same day
to day challenges as our clients, and we like to be treated fairly
and honestly by those who seek to supply us. |
